Opposites Attract

This teenage romantic comedy is entertaining...and predictable.

No matter how tawdry movies are, they always have a lesson...put two of today's teen heart-throbs together, mix in the musical talent of Britney Spears and Backstreet Boys, and you've got a winner!

Nicole [Melissa Joan Hart] and Chase [Adrian Grenier] have lived next door to each other for several years. Although they are no longer good friends, they find that they need each other to get the date that they want for a particular centennial celebration. In the process, they realize that what they really want is true love - and it's closer than they ever thought it would be...

This is a great "feel good" movie; it has no sex, nudity, or violence and is a terrific light-hearted movie. All true romantics will love this "girl next door" love story - and of course, it doesn't hurt that Chase Hammond is played by the handsome Adrian Grenier, and the Backstreet Boys are on the soundtrack. Melissa Joan Hart, fresh from TV's "Sabrina, The Teenage Witch", is pretty good as Nicole, and provides the other piece of the puzzle.

All in all, this isn't a bad movie - just not an exceptional one. If you want to be entertained for an hour and a half, "Drive Me Crazy" certainly does that, and gives you a few laughs as well [and that’s good for health, isn’t it?!]
